Equalities Officer vacancy

Ready to make a difference?   We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Equalities Officer to join our team.

The Equality and Inclusion Partnership (EQuIP) is a leading equality charity based in Warwickshire, dedicated to advancing equal opportunities, promoting diversity, and combating discrimination. We work collaboratively with communities, stakeholders, and partners to address the challenges faced by diverse and underrepresented groups.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Equalities Officer to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering efficient and effective equality services and initiatives. The successful candidate will drive core services and specific projects, optimise internal processes, engage with diverse groups, and understand the varying needs across communities, contributing to our mission's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality services, projects, and information to local communities as part of a collaborative team.
  • Develop effective links with local communities, public agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify key equality issues and address them in collaboration with relevant agencies.
  • Act as a liaison between communities, EQuIP, and public agencies.
  • Develop effective communication channels between communities and relevant bodies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in community development, equalities, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of equality legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Proven ability in networking and relationship-building.
  • Excellent communication and ICT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and work outside of normal working hours, where required.
  • Ability to travel effectively within Warwickshire.
